Our work was (title): EFECTOS DEL TURISMO SOBRE LA CALIDAD DE VIDA
(Effects of
tourism over quality of life)
Quality of life is an essential factor for
economic and social development, and tourism can significantly contribute to
its improvement. However, the relationship between tourism and quality of life
is not uniform; it depends both on the type of tourism practiced and on the
sociodemographic characteristics of tourists. Therefore, it is crucial to
identify which modalities generate greater well-being and how factors such as
gender, age, marital status, income, educational level, employment situation,
or sector of activity influence this relationship. This study analyses the
impact of tourism on the quality of life of Spanish tourists, considering
different types of tourism and personal profiles. The findings show that the
perception of tourism as a driver of quality of life varies according to
individual characteristics, highlighting the need to design tourism policies
tailored to the needs of each population segment to achieve a more inclusive
and satisfactory tourism experience.
